Senecio herreanus 'String of Tears'
Senecio herreanus 'String of Tears'
Curio herreanus, also known as the String of Beads, String of Tears, is a beautiful trailing plant from Namibia that is closely related to Curio Radicans, or String of Bananas. Its long stems, ranging from green to purple, have a stiff texture and can reach lengths of over 1.0', whether hanging from a pot or creeping on the ground in its natural habitat. The leaves of this plant are shaped like raindrops, with delicate purple stripes and "leaf windows" that aid in sunlight absorption. When exposed to bright sunlight, the leaves and stems will develop deeper purple tones. In bloom, Curio herreanus produces white, pom-pom like flowers that have a hint of cinnamon scent. To achieve a full, cascading look, be sure to provide adequate sunlight to all stems and regularly trim them back, replanting the cuttings in the pot
Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. Fragile: leaves may curl, fall off, or bruise during shipping. Will recover with proper light, water, and leaf shedding.
