Sempervivum Calcareum 'Nigricans'

Sempervivum calcareum 'Nigricans' boasts a gorgeous blue-green color with dark tips, turning purple in the winter. These plants are resilient and can withstand more winter moisture than other Sempervivum species. They have a distinctive hue, medium size, and strong growth. In order to maintain their beautiful appearance and shape, they require plenty of sunlight and well-draining soil or pots. As they mature, they produce small offsets, also known as "chicks," which can be left to form clusters or replanted as desired. Sempervivum fare well in spring and summer when watered weekly and given some shade during extreme heat. Their ability to withstand frost makes them ideal for surviving harsh winters, even when covered in snow.
