Sedum dasyphyllum, commonly known as Corsican Stonecrop or Thick-leaved Stonecrop, is a low-growing, mat-forming succulent native to Europe and parts of the Mediterranean. It features tiny, round, blue green to grayish leaves that are densely packed along trailing stems, often developing a purplish tint in full sun or cool weather. This hardy and drought-tolerant plant thrives in well-draining soil and full sun, making it ideal for rock gardens, green roofs, containers, or as ground cover in xeriscapes. In late spring to early summer, Sedum dasyphyllum produces small, star-shaped white or pale pink flowers that attract pollinators. Its delicate appearance, compact growth habit, and tolerance to poor soils make it a favorite among succulent enthusiasts and gardeners looking for easy-care, low-water plants.
