Sansevieria ‘Twist’ (Snake Plant) is a distinctive and easy-care houseplant known for its upright, sword-shaped leaves that twist and curl slightly as they grow, giving the plant a sculptural, architectural appearance. The foliage features attractive green and yellow striping, making ‘Twist’ an eye-catching addition to modern interiors, offices, containers, and plant collections. Like other snake plants, it tolerates low light but grows best in bright, indirect light. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings and use a well-draining potting mix to help prevent root rot.
Pet friendly: No. Sansevieria (now botanically classified as Dracaena) contains saponins and is considered toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Chewing the leaves may cause vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, or other digestive irritation.
Hardiness:USDA Zones 9–11. ‘Twist’ is sensitive to frost and prolonged cold temperatures. In cooler climates, it is best grown indoors or moved to a protected location before temperatures approach freezing.
