Pachypodium succulentum x bispinosum
Pachypodium succulentum x bispinosum
Pachypodium succulentum x bispinosum is a beautiful hybrid caudiciform succulent prized for its swollen trunk, spiny branching stems, and attractive trumpet-shaped flowers. Combining the best traits of both parent species, this unique hybrid develops a sculptural bonsai-like appearance with a thick underground caudex used for water storage, making it highly drought tolerant and well suited for succulent and caudiciform collections. During the growing season, it produces delicate pink to lavender blooms that contrast beautifully against its rugged stems and fine foliage. This plant thrives in bright light, warm temperatures, and fast-draining soil with moderate watering during active growth and reduced watering during dormancy. While highly ornamental and easy to grow with proper care, it is considered not pet friendly, as the plant contains toxic sap and sharp spines that may cause irritation or injury if handled improperly.
Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. It is advised to handle this plant with caution and use gloves or tongs as it is covered in spines.
