Pachypodium inopinatum, also referred to as Pachypodium rosulatum ssp. inopinatum, is a species of caudiciform shrub within the Pachypodium genus. It features a sturdy, cylindrical trunk, or caudex, as well as slender, spiny branches that extend upwards. In the growing season, it produces yellow flowers and its base becomes plump with age. This remarkable plant was first identified in 1993 in a remote region of central Madagascar.
