Native to Central Baja California, Mexico, Opuntia invicta (Corynopuntia invicta) is a low-growing cactus that can reach up to 7 feet in diameter and stands at a height of 7-11 inches. Its stems are stout and adorned with broad, formidable spines. The plant's segmented stems are a vibrant green color and typically form a sprawling mat. Each areola on the stems produces large, variable length thorns in shades of grayish-white. Vibrant yellow flowers also bloom from the plant's stems. Opuntia species have glochids, which are small, barbed bristles that can easily detach from the plant. When shipping, these glochids may become loose in the box and can pierce skin and leather gloves. For safe handling, use tongs.

Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. It is advised to handle this plant with caution and use gloves or tongs as it is covered in spines.
