Mangave 'Purple People Eater'

The Mangave 'Purple People Eater' derives its name from its rich purple coloration. Its robust leaves form a striking blue-green rosette pattern, punctuated by deep red-purple markings. When viewed up close, the purple hue is evident, making this plant a captivating sight. For optimal color development, ensure it receives full sunlight, although it will still display shades of green in partial light. Delicately curled edges exhibit a blend of yellow, orange, and cinnamon brown spines, each leaf culminating in a cinnamon-colored terminal spine.

Mangave is a unique intergeneric hybrid, resulting from the cross of Manfreda and Agave. This rare plant boasts the desirable traits of both, including improved growth rate and striking patterns from Manfreda, and the elegant appearance of Agave.
