Mammillaria sempervivi (de Candolle): A flattened, globose cactus with a bumpy, spiky appearance. The stem is an olive green and has pyramidal bumps or "tubercles" covering its surface. In between the bumps is white wool. Its flowering is characterized by a crown of white to cream flowers on top of the stem. This type is native to Mexico and typically measures 4.0" in diameter or less.
