Mammillaria hahniana 'Old Lady Cactus'

Mammillaria hahniana, also known as the old lady cactus, is a small spherical cactus covered in soft white hairs and spines. Ranging from 3.6 inches (9 cm) in height to 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter, it can be found either solitary or in clusters. Its short, conical tubercles are adorned with 20-30 white radial spines and 1-4 white central spines with reddish tips. The radial spines are bristle-like and up to 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) in length, while the central spines are up to 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) long. In late winter and spring, dark pink to reddish-purple flowers often form a ring around the top of the stems.
