Mammillaria Compressa 'Mother of Hundreds' is a cactus species in the subfamily Cactoideae, native to northern and southern Mexico. It is often grown as an ornamental plant, blooming with bell-shaped flowers in the winter and early spring. The curved spines were historically utilized as fishing hooks.
