From late spring to midsummer, slender stalks up to 5 ft (150 cm) tall display bell-shaped, coral red to pink flowers that attract hummingbirds. Highly resilient, this plant can withstand extreme heat and drought, as well as cold temperatures in USDA Zone 6. Once established, it requires minimal care and watering. It is well-suited as an accent or group planting in desert or rock gardens, or along pathways. For maximum effect, place it where the sunlight will illuminate its vibrant
