Quality Huge Caudexes!

This vining caudiciform species, native to South Africa, is easily recognized by its large and robust trunk, adorned with prominent warts. The upright trunk is segmented and can grow up to 2 feet in width, with a distinctive texture provided by the tubercules. In the Spring, the plant blooms with delicate and elongated branches, reaching up to 10 feet in length, and its oval-shaped leaves, measuring 1/2 inch, add to its aesthetic appeal. The flowers, while small and green, are highly scented and require pollination from both male and female plants in order to develop the 2-inch-long gray seedpods. During its Winter dormancy period, it is recommended to water this plant sparingly, or not at all, as it is capable of surviving even when completely dry. For those living in areas with harsh Winters, bringing the plant indoors is advised, as it is not considered cold-resistant.

Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. Be aware that the sap of this plant is toxic and should not be touched by children or pets. If you happen to come into contact with the sap while handling the plant, wash your hands right away.
