Echinocereus knippelianus v. reyesii is a small, globular cactus native to the mountainous regions of Mexico, where it grows among rocky slopes and grassy terrain. This variety is known for its soft, blue-green to gray-green body, which can reach about 2–3 inches (5–7.5 centimeters) in diameter and often stays solitary or forms small clusters over time. The ribs are rounded and lined with short, fine, whitish spines that give the plant a delicate, velvety appearance. During the blooming season, Echinocereus knippelianus v. reyesii produces large, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pink to magenta, sometimes with lighter centers, creating a vivid contrast against its muted body tones. Slow-growing but resilient, this species thrives in bright light with well-draining soil and is highly prized by collectors for its charming form and spectacular floral display.

Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. It is advised to handle this plant with caution and use gloves or tongs as it is covered in spines.
