Echeveria 'Secunda' is a popular and attractive succulent, known for its rosette-shaped growth and vibrant colors. This variety features thick, fleshy, blue-green leaves that often have a reddish or pinkish tint on the edges, particularly when exposed to sunlight or in cooler temperatures. The leaves are smooth and form tight, symmetrical rosettes that can grow up to 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) in diameter. Echeveria 'Secunda' produces small, bell-shaped flowers on tall, slender stems, which are typically orange or pink, adding a splash of color when in bloom.

It thrives in bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate some direct sun, which helps bring out the red edges in the leaves. The plant prefers well-draining soil, such as cactus or succulent mixes, and needs to dry out completely between waterings to avoid root rot. Echeveria 'Secunda' is hardy in warmer temperatures (65-85°F / 18-29°C) but should be protected from frost. As with many succulents, it requires minimal care, with occasional feeding during the growing season to promote healthy growth. This low-maintenance plant is a great addition to any succulent garden or container arrangement.
