The leaves have a smooth, slightly powdery appearance and can develop pink or reddish edges when the plant receives plenty of sunlight. It remains relatively compact, making it well suited to containers, rock gardens, succulent arrangements, and sunny windowsills. In spring and summer, mature plants may produce tall flower stalks with bell-shaped, pinkish-yellow to orange flowers. It prefers bright light, excellent drainage, and infrequent watering once established. Pet friendly:Yes. Echeveria species are generally considered non-toxic to dogs and cats if ingested, although eating large quantities of any plant material can still cause mild digestive upset. Hardiness zones:USDA Zones 9–11. It is sensitive to frost and should be protected from freezing temperatures.
