Echeveria 'Painted Lady' (Echeveria derenbergii): A compact species, E. derenbergii remains below 3.0" in diameter but easily offsets to create neat clusters of small, spherical rosettes. This blue-green plant is native to cliffsides in Southern Mexico and employs a natural layer of powdery wax or "farina" to protect itself from intense sunlight. Unique in its flowering pattern, each rosette produces multiple stalks that reach up to 4.0" in height and boast clusters of 6 yellow, star-shaped flowers.
