Echeveria 'Lenore Dean' Variegated is a rare Korean succulent also known as Compton Carousel. This variety is just as beautiful as it is coveted, but it requires particular care in order to thrive. Unfortunately, many plants purchased new die before establishing themselves, usually due to improper treatment before packaging. To ensure success, this variety must be dried thoroughly and stressed without water for at least one month before being sold. This careful process helps the leaves close up and become solid and thick.
Echeveria require ample sunlight to retain their vibrant colors and maintain a compact, rosette shape. While they are not able to withstand harsh frost, they can be moved indoors to a sunny windowsill or under a grow light in the event of freezing temps. To avoid damage, protect from intense afternoon sun during periods of extreme heat.
