Echeveria 'Bittersweet' is a beautiful succulent prized for its compact rosette of fleshy, pointed leaves, often displaying soft green to bluish tones with attractive pink, red, or burgundy coloring along the leaf edges when grown in bright light. This low-maintenance echeveria is an excellent choice for succulent collections, containers, rock gardens, and sunny windowsills. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings and provide well-draining soil to help prevent root rot.
Pet friendly: Yes. Echeveria species are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making Echeveria 'Bittersweet' a good choice for homes with pets, although ingestion of any plant material can still cause mild stomach upset.
Hardiness: Echeveria 'Bittersweet' is typically hardy in USDA Zones 9–11. It is not frost tolerant and should be protected from temperatures below freezing. In colder climates, it is best grown in a container and brought indoors during the winter.
