Dudleya edulis ‘Fingertips’ is a unique California native succulent named for its upright, fleshy, finger-like leaves that emerge from the base of the plant. The pale green to yellow-green foliage can develop attractive orange to reddish tips during the warmer months, and mature plants produce delicate white flowers on tall stalks in spring. There are no established toxicity concerns commonly reported for Dudleya edulis, although pets should always be discouraged from eating ornamental plants. Hardiness: USDA Zones 9–11 is a good conservative range for cultivation; some sources report greater cold tolerance, down to around 10°F, while other references rate it as hardy as Zone 7.
