Deamia testudo ‘Dog Tail Cactus’ is a fascinating, vining cactus prized for its long, trailing stems that develop a textured, slightly ridged appearance resembling a dog’s tail. Native to tropical regions of Central America, it differs from typical desert cacti by preferring bright, indirect light and higher humidity, making it well-suited for indoor hanging baskets or greenhouse conditions. As it matures, it can produce large, fragrant, night-blooming white flowers that add to its exotic appeal. It grows best in a well-draining soil mix with moderate watering, allowing the top layer to dry between waterings.
