Crassula rupestris 'Rosary Vine' is a charming succulent prized for its tightly stacked, rounded leaves that grow along slender, branching stems, giving the plant a delicate, necklace-like appearance. The blue-green to gray-green foliage often develops beautiful pink, red, or burgundy coloring along the edges when exposed to bright sunlight or cooler temperatures. Its compact, branching habit makes it well suited for succulent arrangements, containers, rock gardens, or as a small trailing accent. Provide bright light, gritty well-draining soil, and allow the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings to encourage healthy growth.
Pet friendly: Yes. Crassula rupestris is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making 'Rosary Vine' a suitable choice for pet-friendly homes. As with any plant, however, consuming large quantities may cause mild digestive upset.
Hardiness: USDA Zones 9–11. 'Rosary Vine' is not frost tolerant and should be protected from freezing temperatures. In colder climates, grow it in a container and bring it indoors during the winter or whenever temperatures approach freezing.
Fragile: leaves may curl, fall off, or bruise during shipping. Will recover with proper light, water, and leaf shedding.
