Crassula perforata ssp. kougaensis is a distinctive succulent with slender, branching stems lined with pairs of triangular, stacked leaves that give the plant its characteristic necklace-like appearance. The fleshy foliage ranges from blue-green to gray-green and can develop attractive pink, red, or purple tones along the margins when grown in bright light. Its compact, trailing habit makes it an excellent choice for containers, hanging arrangements, succulent gardens, and rock gardens. Provide well-draining soil and bright light, and allow the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings to help prevent root rot.
Pet friendly: Yes. Crassula perforata is generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making this succulent a suitable option for pet-friendly homes, although eating large quantities of any plant material may cause mild digestive upset.
Hardiness:USDA Zones 9–11. It is sensitive to frost and prolonged cold, so protect it from freezing temperatures. In cooler climates, it is best grown in a container and brought indoors during the colder months.
