Crassula ovata 'Hobbit' is a unique variation of the popular Jade Plant. It is suitable for outdoor growth in warmer climates (zone 9+) as a compact shrub, but it also makes a stunning low-maintenance indoor plant due to its ability to thrive in low-light conditions. Its woody branches can even be shaped through bonsai pruning. Similar to its relative, Gollum Jade, the leaves of Hobbit Jade display an interesting curl and turn red when exposed to direct sunlight. During the winter months, this plant may produce lovely clusters of delicate white flowers.
