Crassula mesembryanthemoides hispida
Crassula mesembryanthemoides hispida
Originating from South Africa, Crassula mesembryanthemoides is a slow-growing succulent that can reach up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) in height. With its long teardrop-shaped leaves, this summer dormant variety makes an attractive addition to any garden. At the end of summer, it produces red flowers, adding a vibrant touch to your outdoor space.
Crassula require ample sunlight to retain their vibrant colors and maintain a compact, rosette shape. While they are not able to withstand harsh frost, they can be moved indoors to a sunny windowsill or under a grow light in the event of freezing temps. To avoid damage, protect from intense afternoon sun during periods of extreme heat.
