Cotyledon pendens is a beautiful trailing succulent prized for its cascading stems lined with plump, teardrop-shaped gray-green leaves edged in subtle red. Native to South Africa, it is well-suited for hanging baskets or elevated planters where its draping growth habit can be fully appreciated. In the right conditions—bright, indirect light and well-draining soil—it may produce eye-catching, bell-shaped orange-red flowers that dangle beneath the foliage. Like many succulents, it prefers infrequent watering and can tolerate some drought once established. This plant is not pet-friendly, as Cotyledon species are considered toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
