Copiapoa humilis is a small, spherical cactus native to the arid regions of northern Chile. Known for its striking appearance, it typically features a dense covering of white, woolly spines that give it a soft, almost fuzzy look. The cactus grows in a slow and compact manner, rarely exceeding 10 cm in height. Its body is typically green or yellowish-green, with pronounced ribs and areoles from which the spines emerge. Copiapoa humilis thrives in rocky, dry environments, making it highly drought-tolerant and well-suited for xerophytic landscapes. It is a popular plant among succulent enthusiasts due to its unique, sculptural form and its relatively low maintenance requirements.
