Astroloba spiralis is a striking succulent native to the Western Cape of South Africa. Known for its unique spiral-shaped rosettes, this plant features narrow, fleshy leaves that twist in a mesmerizing, spiral pattern as they radiate outward from a central point. The leaves are typically a muted green with reddish-brown tips, giving it an almost otherworldly appearance. It thrives in rocky, well-drained soils and can withstand dry conditions, making it a perfect addition to xeriscape gardens or as an eye-catching specimen in succulent collections. In late winter or early spring, Astroloba spiralis may produce tubular, orange or yellow flowers that add a burst of color to its already fascinating form.
