Aloe maculata ‘Soap Aloe’ is a hardy, fast-growing aloe valued for its bold markings and landscape versatility. It forms spreading rosettes of broad, fleshy leaves that are green to reddish-brown, depending on sun exposure, and patterned with pale, irregular spots. The leaf margins are lined with small, soft teeth, adding texture and visual interest. In late winter to spring, Soap Aloe produces tall, branched flower stalks topped with tubular coral to orange-red blooms that attract pollinators. Exceptionally drought-tolerant and adaptable, it performs well in rock gardens, mass plantings, and containers, thriving in full sun to partial shade with minimal care.
