Aloe peglerae is also known as 'Red-Hot Poker Aloe' and belongs to the Asphodelaceae family. It has a single rosette stem and bluish-grey rounded leaves that curve inwards. This winter-dormant species grows to a height of 7 to 15 inches and prefers light shade over full sun exposure. This aloe species has a slow growth rate and requires minimal care. It blooms in July to August, bearing dull red to deep red tubular flowers. In the summer, water the plant when the soil is fully dry. Overwatering can cause drought-resistant red hot pokers to die, so be careful. During winter, less water is needed. Fertilizers are not necessary for this plant.
Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo.
