Alluaudia procera “Ocotillo”
The Alluaudia procera, or Madagascar ocotillo, is a unique succulent that is a rare addition to any collection. This plant can grow over 18 meters high, with spiny, columnar stems that resemble a "crown of thorns". The distinctive yellowish white flowers bloom in dense clusters at the end of the stems, with larger specimens taller than 3 meters producing separate male and female plants. In the winter, the plant sheds all of its leaves.
Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. It is advised to handle this plant with caution and use gloves or tongs as it is covered in spines.
