Agave victoriae-reginae 'Queen Victoria' is a highly sought-after and regal-looking agave species, admired for its compact size and striking geometric beauty. Native to the Chihuahuan Desert in northeastern Mexico, this slow-growing succulent forms a tight rosette of thick, dark green leaves with distinct white markings and smooth edges, each leaf often ending in a sharp black tip. Its symmetrical form and bold coloration make Agave victoriae-reginae 'Queen Victoria' a standout in both desert landscapes and container gardens. Drought-tolerant and sun-loving, it requires minimal maintenance and thrives in well-draining soil. Though it may take many years to bloom, it eventually sends up a tall flower spike bearing creamy white flowers—a dramatic finale before the rosette dies, as is typical for monocarpic agaves.
