Aeonium urbicum is a striking succulent plant native to the Canary Islands. It features rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves that are typically dark green or bronze, often tinged with reddish hues, especially in bright sunlight. These rosettes can grow quite large, sometimes reaching up to 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. During the spring and summer months, Aeonium urbicum produces tall, branched inflorescences with clusters of yellow star-shaped flowers. This hardy plant thrives in well-draining soil and requires minimal watering, making it a popular choice for xeriscaping and container gardens. Aeonium urbicum prefers full sun to partial shade and can tolerate drought conditions, but it is sensitive to frost. Its unique appearance and low-maintenance nature make it an attractive addition to gardens and indoor spaces alike.
