Stenocactus thurberi 'Organ Pipe Cactus' is a compact and uniquely ribbed cactus admired for its densely pleated, wavy ribs that give it a distinctive, organ pipe-like appearance. Native to Mexico, this globular to cylindrical cactus is often mistaken for its taller namesake, but remains much smaller in size—typically forming a single, rounded stem adorned with short, stiff spines. In spring, it produces delicate, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pale pink to lavender with darker central stripes, adding to its ornamental charm. 'Organ Pipe Cactus' thrives in bright light, well-draining soil, and minimal watering, making it an excellent choice for small containers, windowsills, or rock gardens in arid environments.
