This species is characterized by its globular form, typically reaching 2 to 4 inches in height and width.Its surface is adorned with radial spines that are yellow with reddish centers, giving it a distinctive appearance.In spring and summer, it produces striking yellow flowers with red centers, adding a vibrant touch to its spiny exterior.
