Mammillaria duwei
Mammillaria duwei
Mammillaria duwei is a small, rare species of cactus native to a limited area in Guanajuato, Mexico, and is prized by collectors for its charming appearance and conservation status. It forms compact, spherical to slightly cylindrical stems covered in soft, yellowish-white radial spines and hooked central spines, giving it a delicate, almost fuzzy look. In spring or early summer, it produces a beautiful crown of pale yellow to creamy flowers that contrast elegantly with the spines. Like many Mammillarias, it thrives in well-draining soil, bright light, and low humidity, making it well-suited to cultivation in pots or rock gardens.
