Gymnocalycium horstii variegata, also known as the 'Spider cactus', is a member of the Cactaceae family. It typically grows to a height of 10 inches and has a distinctive globose shape in shades of green and yellow. Originating from South America, this cactus enters dormancy during the winter months. It produces striking white, pink, or pale purple flowers from mid-spring to summer. With a hardiness of 10a-11b and a frost tolerance of -4°C (24.8°F), Gymnocalycium horstii is a unique and beautiful addition to any collection.
