Euphorbia decaryi var. decaryi is a low-growing, mat-forming succulent native to the rocky, dry regions of southwestern Madagascar. It features twisted, woody stems that creep along the ground, forming dense clusters topped with small, wavy-edged leaves that range in color from olive green to deep burgundy depending on light conditions. The plant produces delicate brownish or purplish cyathia (flowers) that appear near the tips of the stems, adding subtle charm to its compact form. Euphorbia decaryi var. decaryi is well adapted to arid environments, preferring bright light, excellent drainage, and minimal watering. Its unique, contorted growth habit and richly colored foliage make it a highly desirable species among collectors of rare and unusual succulents.
