Echinocactus grusonii var brevispinus, also known as the "Barrel Cactus," is a striking cactus species originating from East-Central Mexico. This globe-shaped plant, a variation of the Golden Barrel cactus, typically grows to a height of 24 to 36 inches. As a member of the "Cactaceae" family, this winter-dormant cactus can be identified by its vibrant yellow flowers that bloom from late spring to summer.
