Aloe erinacea 'Goree'

Aloe erinacea is a striking succulent native to southern Africa, known for its unique and spiky appearance. This aloe species forms a rosette of thick, fleshy, grey-green leaves that are tightly packed and covered in soft, white spines, creating a dense, textured look. The leaves are often tinged with a slight reddish hue at the tips when exposed to full sunlight, adding to the plant's visual appeal. In late winter to early spring, Aloe erinacea produces tall, branched inflorescences with clusters of tubular, orange to red flowers, which contrast beautifully with its spiny foliage. This hardy aloe is well-suited for dry, arid conditions and thrives in well-draining soil with minimal water, making it a great addition to rock gardens, succulent collections, and xeriscapes. It is best suited for USDA hardiness zones 9-11 and should be protected from frost.
