Agave × leopoldii is a striking hybrid succulent that forms a compact rosette of narrow, stiff green leaves edged with creamy white margins and small, evenly spaced teeth. Its architectural shape and variegated foliage make it a standout choice for rock gardens, containers, and drought-tolerant landscapes. This slow-growing plant thrives in full sun to bright light and requires well-draining soil with infrequent watering, as it is highly drought tolerant once established. It is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 8–11 and should be protected from prolonged hard freezes or grown in containers in colder climates so it can be moved indoors during winter. Like most agaves, it is valued for its low-maintenance nature and bold ornamental appeal.
