Sempervivum calcareum, is a robust species native to the French Alps. Its striking appearance is characterized by a vibrant blue-green hue and deep purple flushes during the winter. This hardy plant thrives in spring and summer, requiring weekly watering and partial shade in temperatures above 80F. Its resistance to frost makes it well-suited for winter climates, however, it is important to protect it from excess rain and standing water to avoid rot.
