Sempervivum 'Red Beauty'
Sempervivum 'Red Beauty'
Sempervivum 'Red Beauty' features silvery green rosettes with a rosy blush and large size. The leaves may display rippling watermarks of natural wax and turn a bright cerise in colder temperatures, adding interest to any winter garden. To prevent rot, it is recommended to use a layer of gravel top dressing between the soil and the leaves, especially for webbed varieties. Sempervivum primarily grow during the spring and summer and thrive with weekly watering and partial shade in temperatures above 80F. These plants are highly resilient to frost and can withstand winter months under a blanket of snow. However, to prevent rot, it is important to protect them from heavy rains and standing water.
