Pachycereus pringlei, also known as the Mexican Cardon or False Saguaro, is the highest cactus species in existence, with one recorded specimen reaching a towering height of 63 feet. However, most mature plants will typically reach a more moderate height of 20-30 feet. This slow-growing cactus can take many years, even decades, to fully mature. It features a solitary large trunk, often accompanied by additional branches at the base that can be as wide as the trunk itself. Each arm is characterized by 11-17 ribs. As the cactus matures, it sheds its spines, leaving behind a smooth, branch-like appearance. In the spring, the flowering season begins, marked by the appearance of yellow buds on mature arms. These buds, typically 1-2 inches in length, appear sporadically along the ribs. After blooming, the flowers only last for one night, but the flowering season can last for several weeks.

Please Note: Plant will ship bare root with little to no dirt, and you will receive a plant similar to the one in the photo. It is advised to handle this plant with caution and use gloves as it is covered in spines.
