Agave Geminiflora
Agave Geminiflora
Agave geminiflora grows natively in oak woodlands at altitudes of 3,000 to 4,000 feet in Nayarit, Mexico. This unique plant features long, narrow, and dark green leaves that lack spines and are highly flexible. The leaves, which typically grow in the hundreds, cascade from the center of the plant, forming a compact round rosette that can reach heights of 2 to 3 feet and widths equal to its height. As the plant matures, it produces paired flowers on an unbranched spike that can reach heights of 8 to 10 feet. In coastal gardens, the plant thrives in full sun, and in hot inland gardens, it prefers part sun to light shade. While drought-resistant, it benefits from occasional watering during the summer. Hardy down to 25 F.
